NGVAmerica will be holding a free live webinar on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 1 p.m. CST to discuss federal transit funding opportunities including the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) Low/No Bus Emissions Program.  Up to $180 million in competitive grant funding is available for FY 2021; complete proposals are due by April 12.

NGVAmerica worked to secure language in the FY 2021 Conference Agreement that “directs the FTA to implement 49 U.S.C. 5339(c) in a manner that encourages a variety of different fuel types, and consider procurements that reduce an agency’s overall greenhouse gas emissions.”

The Low/No Program helps eligible project sponsors purchase or lease low- or no-emission vehicles and supporting facilities that use advanced technologies, including those fueled by natural gas, to provide cleaner, more energy efficient transit operations in communities across the country.

The webinar will feature updates on FTA’s Low/No Bus program and guidance on future federal funding opportunities.  Staff will also share details on recent NGVAmerica transit and RNG transportation collaterals.  Transit agency officials, fleet managers, natural gas fuelers, vehicle acquisition personnel, grant writers, and business development staffers are all encouraged to attend.

The webinar is open to NGVAmerica members and nonmembers at no cost.
