Drive Clean Indiana (DCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and Indiana’s only U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities and Communities coalition — one of more than 75 nationwide. Designated on June 15, 1999, we have spent nearly three decades building partnerships that advance affordable domestic transportation fuels, energy security, and economic development across the Hoosier State.
Our focus is clear: biodiesel, ethanol, propane, and hydrogen. These are Hoosier fuels — grown, produced, and consumed right here in Indiana — creating jobs, strengthening rural economies, and fostering locally driven transportation energy choices. We advocate, educate, and connect organizations with the resources, tax incentives, and policy tools that make the transition to alternative fuels practical and profitable.
